Litters: Easier editing of multiple offspring
Ability to select multiple kits within litters for editing, selling, marking as died, culled or breeders, fostered etc. It would also be really nice if all of their basic info could be edited at the same time, something similar to the add many breeders page.
It's so time consuming to input kit information as it is, especially since most of it is often duplicate information.

Hutch AdminWe're looking into adding this feature with our next update to the Litter system. Beyond the actions that can be performed on multiple kits at once (such as selling, marking as died, or changing to other statuses), what basic info would you like to be able to edit at the same time?
Would it really be necessary to mass-edit the name, id, or prefix of several kits at once? If not, what fields would this be helpful for?
Thanks for your input as we work to improve this for you! -

ZekeThanks for the response Hutch admin!
It would absolutely be necessary to mass edit images, names, ID, colour variety, sex, notes, weights, marking as breeder, cull status, fostering, and I'm sure other options too. I really like keeping thorough, accurate litter records, but with how time consuming it is to update each offspring's information in a litter I've kinda given up. A lot of the time littermates have the same colour varieties, so having to manually enter an ID and identical colour varieties is really a time waster when it could be so much more streamlined. If I have a litter of all REWs, I don't want to spend 15 minutes loading each kit's profile from 1 litter just to input nearly the same information. And then to do that for each litter..... it's added up to hours of my life that I'll never get back, just because loading each kit profile takes so much time. -

GerritAdding to the above-
As a commercial breeder I need to maximize space utilized and currently house 6 growers in one cage until they are sold or butchered after weaning. Currently the system doesn't allow tracking of kits outside of the litter.
At weaning time a litter gets spit between bucks and does and go into separate cages. I try and keep kits relatively close to the same age/size together until the cage houses 6 then I move on to the next cage. This can lead to the cage housing in theory kits form 6 different litters. Each are marked with the does details but currently there is no way at weighing time to add each's weight. I have to jump between litters.
What I would like is the ability to open a cage like D19 for example that has 6 kits in from 3 different litters and add each kits weight as as easily as one can currently when accessing a litter details. -

Gerritadding to the above the weight info being added to reflect back to the litters / does growth report which already exists.

Nicole MonchampI would like to see a form come up with each kit listed and then fields to enter their details and it would be very nice to have a cage option to view kits as well.

Everbreed Admin AdminUpdate: We're currently working on an option allowing you to select whether you want to weigh, butcher, or sell an entire litter at once, or whether you want to do so for individual kits within the litter (like we currently allow). Next, we'll be making a way to assign a cage number to a kit directly, rather than just a litter. After that, we'll look more into the ability to mass-edit all data for multiple kits within a litter, and see if we can create a "cage view" or "kit view" (with a cage filter) or something to make it easier to find the rabbits you're looking for and make changes. Thanks for the great feedback. Please share if you have more.

Everbreed Admin AdminJust an update here that the ability to weigh, butcher, and sell an entire litter at once is live and working fine. You can see details here:
https://everbreed.com/blog/recent-updates-since-january-2022/
Now we're working on a "Kit" view and "Cage" view that will make it easier to find weaned rabbits or those in specific cages, and perform actions on multiple kits at once. -

Everbreed Admin AdminJust wanted to let you know that we're getting really close to releasing an update that will allow you to select multiple litters or kits and make changes to them all at once. This will also include two new tabs on the Litters page letting you search for kits directly (regardless of their litter) and also to group kits by cage, which should make it easier to track fostering and grow-outs. We hope to release this to our beta users within the coming week, and roll it out to everyone from there. Thanks for all the great suggestions!

Everbreed Admin AdminGood news! On the Litters page, you will now see tabs at the top for Litters, Kits and Cages, allowing you to see your kits grouped in a variety of ways. You can also now make changes to multiple kits at once (regardless of their birth litter) by selecting the checkbox next to their row and clicking the Edit button. Thanks for your feedback that helps us serve you better!
